My Question or Issue

I've been traveling from Estonia to Romania through Poland and back. My Spotify login stopped working when I traveled back, during my time in Poland airport. I've been using the airports wifi. The error I get is this:

Oops! Something went wrong, please try again or check out our help area.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Hi there @drevla,

Thanks for reaching out. We'll be glad to help you get back into your account.

Since you mentioned your account is on free, it's possible you've gone over the limit of 14 days that you can use Spotify abroad as a free user, see here for more info. Try logging into your account page and if that works, check your country settings. If they match where you are, you should be able to login normally across all devices.

Hope this helps.

Unfortunately I cannot check this since I cannot login. But this trip was only 7 days, so I don't believe this is the issue...

Hi @drevla,

Thanks for the reply.

You mentioned that this is across all devices, is that correct? Could you try and log into a different account or is the login page just going to an error right away and no login is possible?

Keep us posted.

Yes, it is across all devices, even tried new devices that I never used to log in on Spotify before and the issue persists.
1. Access Spotify login page

2. Use Facebook login flow

3. Login and do all steps required on facebook side

4. When returning to Spotify, the error message is displayed and I am not logged in.

I was able to create a new account and login, using just email. That's how I posted here, using a new account.

My Question or Issue

I upgraded my phone, tried to transfer my Premium account to my new device but its not recognising the log in. Its not letting me log on via FB, which is how I think I logged onto my existing account

Any advice please?

Hi there, folks,

Something else you can try is resetting your password by entering the email for your main Spotify account here. If you've created it through Facebook, most likely it's got the same email as your Facebook account, but feel free to try any other ones you might have used during the sign-up process.

Once you've reset your password, try logging in via email + password instead to see if that does the trick. If you're able to successfully log in to your account, you can try removing Facebook as a login method and re-adding it by following the steps in this article.

Let us know how it goes 👍

Sorry for the long time, couldn't work on this for a week. Back with some updates.

I tried resetting the password using the same email as my facebook account, unfortunately I didn't receive any email to do that after trying many times.

I also removed the connection between facebook and spotify from facebook settings and connected again. This didn't solve anything, I still get the same error.

I also tried resetting the password using username and that didn't work either.

Searching for spotify users, I can clearly find my old profile when looking it up, with the username I used to reset email...

Hey @drevla,

Thanks for your response.

In this case, it's best to reach out to our colleagues from chat/email support, as they're the ones who can take a closer look at this and assist you further.

Cheers,
