Family Plan confirmation email code not working

Family Plan confirmation email code not working

I attempted to upgrade my premium account to family account to add my daughter. When she hits the confirmation link and code in email and uses the autopopulated code, we get error. Pretty frustrated with how convoluted the whole process is to start with coupled with the inabilty to contact customer support directly. End result is I am a few hours away from cancelling my account alltogether and going to another service. People trying to pay you MORE a month and getting frustrated and leaving seems crappy way to lose business!

Hello everyone,

 

I don't have any experience with Spotify Family, but I think these steps might work:

  1. Send a new invitation email to the person you want to add. Edit: (You may need to cancel the previous send invitation first.)
  2. Open your browser in Incognito/Private Browsing Mode. (key combination ctrl+shift+N or ctrl+shift+P)
  3. Go to Spotify.com
  4. Login with the account that you want to add to the Family Plan.
  5. Copy the Confirmation Link  from the the email (you may use right-click to do this).
  6. Paste the link in the URL-bar of the Incognito/Private window and hit Enter.
  7. Click the Redeem button.

Me too. I’m paying for extra accounts but can’t use more than one at a time. Considering cancelling very soon.
