My Question or Issue

Hi everyone,
I ( main account) purchased a family plan for me and 4 siblings two months ago, but I'm planning to move to australia for an exchange program soon. The programs will last for 10 months.
Is there any risk that the family plan can be cancel during my stay ? or even worst , my account (or my siblings)  can be ban ?

Thanks,

Hey, @FrenchBaguetteUiUi
Welcome to the Spotify Community, and thanks for reaching out to us here!

Don't worry, because it shouldn't be a problem, considering it will last for just 10 months. Spotify usually requests an address verification yearly and since you don't move to another country permanently, your trip shouldn't be a thing.
You can find more information about the Family plan here:

Stay awesome!

Let me know if you have further questions or need anything else! I'd love to help!

Hey folks,

Jumping in to with some additional information on the topic.

@FrenchBaguetteUiUi, I'm afraid there's no concrete answer to this question. While it may be possible to keep the Family plan going if you are temporarily not residing at the given address, moving away for an extended period of time (as in your case) may lead to the disbandment of the plan.

Therefore, all family members should reside on the same address - otherwise, we cannot guarantee that the plan will work as expected.

@Luan mentioned that we request members to reverify, but do note that this isn't a scheduled event that let's say occurs only once a year - it may occur sporadically in case there’s any information entered by a member of the plan that we can’t confirm.

If a member fails the reverification process, they lose access to the plan and immediately switch to the free version of Spotify. They can still join the same Family or Duo plan again (or start a new subscription of their own), but won’t be able to join any other Family or Duo plan for 12 months from the date the verification failed.

Hope this clears things up. Take care.
