Forgot password and no longer have access to email associated with the account

I was recently logged out of my Spotify account and have forgotten my password. I no longer have access to the email associated with my account so I am unable to reset my password and therefore I have no access to my account. What can I do? I keep getting charged but am unable to use it. At this point I would like to be able to reset the password or even cancel the account and remake a new one. however I can’t seem to do anything without access to the email associated with the account.

Thanks for posting in the Spotify Community, and welcome!

 

If you no longer have access to the email address associated with your Spotify account, I would recommend following the suggested steps in this FAQ article.

 

The FAQ article includes a link for contacting Customer Support, who can help you to update the email address for your Spotify account and reset your password.

 

If for any reason you’d then prefer to start over with a new Spotify account, you can feel free to cancel your Premium subscription for the existing account by following the steps in this support article:

  1. Log in to your account page
  2. Under Your plan, click Change Plan
  3. Scroll to Spotify Free and click Cancel Premium

You can then sign up for a new Spotify account here (you'll need to be logged out of your old account, or open the link in a private/incognito window).

Hi

My Spotify account disappeared when I tried to go to the app today. I tried to log back in but I forgot my password, so I went to the login option without the password, but it said that the account wasn't valid. And when I sent an email to log back in, it said that that the email had expired even though it gave me 4 hours to login. I am not the only one who has this problem. The same thing happened to my mother's account today, and she is facing the exact same problems.

Can you try logging in without a password from a different device, to see if you notice any difference?

 

Also, to make sure that you’re logging in to the right Spotify account, you can double-check if you have more than one account by following the suggestions in this FAQ article.

i need to reset the password without an active email

apareceu uma tela de login como se eu estivesse saído da minha conta (algo q eu não fiz) e quando coloquei nome de usuário e senha não consegui entrar, porém antes sempre dava certo. Então lembrei que eu tinha logado numa conta do Google que eu perdi o acesso e não consigo recupera-lá.
Só quero cancelar o Spotify premium daquela conta para conseguir colocar o Premium em outra conta.

I cannot access spotify on the web as I forgot my password and the email address no longer exists. How can I cancel my premium subscription?

i need urgent help with my spotify acc. recently, i tried logging into my account, but my usual password no longer works. fortunately, im still logged into spotify on my laptop, so i was able to check my saved password. however, i noticed that it had been altered to a longer one than the pass i originally set. i realized this cus the pass field now shows more hidden characters.

 

the problem is, the email linked to my account is no longer active, so i cant reset my password. i really worried that my acount might have been accessed by someone else. how can i recover my account and change the email to one that can i access?

 

any help would be greatly appreaciated. thanks in advanced!

My Question or Issue

I want to reset my password but I only have access to the linked gmail adress not the spotify account email adress

when i made this account at 13 years old (im 21 now) i used facebook to log in so it used my old email for the account set up and i never had to set a password. now i would like to change my email but the problem is that email was from an aol account and when i went to log into it to find the reset email and password stuff, the aol website told me that the email doesn't exist but some how my spotify is still connected to it?

My Question or Issue - I logged out by mistake and now I can't access my account.  It is linked to an old email that is no longer accessible.  I created a new account by mistake thinking I was logging in.  I have a premium account but can't access any of my music.  I can't cancel the premium account and start over without logging in.  I need help.
