I paid £100 for a premium account for my wife as a gift and as we start working with Spotify it asks her to upgrade and give credit card details.

 

If I have already paid why does this happen and what do I do to fix it.

Thanks for question.

 

When you purchase year subscription for your wife, you send a messafe to emailadress. Wife need to click link or grab a code, log in to Spotify site and activate subscription. Is this job done and for right account? Wife can redeem code by log in with details here https://www.spotify.com/redeem/

 

Also please check what status is in customer pages, is Premium activated like I described? Let me know what's going on with it. Will help further.

If you have redeemed a code but can't find your premium, double check your email receipt as it will have the username of the account that redeemed the code in it.

If that username is a number, that points to a Facebook account. It is annoyingly common for people to accidentally redeem codes on duplicate accounts created via Facebook.
