Got mail asking to "Confirm your account" - phishing?

I signed up for free account, got logged in and started playing music. Two days later, I get an email that looks like it is from spotify, asking to confirm my account. Since I've already been in and successfully using my account, this smells like phishing. Is it? I haven't opened it.

It's possible that the email is legit, however, we can't say for sure as we can't see the email. I'd suggest you visit this page to learn how to detect phishing.

This article details a lot about possible fraudulent emails and even has the address where you can forward the email if it's indeed illegitimate.
