HELP! Password Issues with a deactivated email account

Hello. I began using spotify in 2010 and used my then email account. I deactivated that account many years ago and I have now tried to change the email on my account settings. However to change the account I need to put in my current password. I have tried the password that works to access my spotify apps, but it is not working online? I have tested this again, because I initally thought that it was a typo. I logged out of my spotify app and used the password that I thought it would be, and it worked, I used the same password online in my account settings and it keeps telling me that this is the wrong password, despite it working to gain access into the app. I would change or reset my password but the email on the account it deactivated so I would not receive the link. Please help! I need to change the password and the email on the account, and I dont know how to do both without the other.
