Help, I unlinked Facebook and lost all my Playlists!

Ugh, I can't believe I messed with this. I thought unlinking my Facebook would refresh some of the Facebook Social information (recently friended someone and didn't see his information on Spotify).  Unfortunately I guess I originally created my account with Facebook so when I did this it somehow deleted my information and is recognizing me as a new user.

Is there any way I could recover that information??  I spent a lot of time crafting my lists...and it sucks to lose them.  Plus I was thinking of upgrading in the next couple months.  Not really something I care to do if it's going to be this easy to lose my information...

Please let me know where I can e-mail you my information so I can hopefully get this straightened out.

So ive been using the Ono on my iPhone and iPad for a couple of weeks now, I've been just logging in with Facebook. I did have a spotify account but I never used to use it. Anyway today I went onto the ap. And clicked log in with facebook as usual and it asks me if I'm a new user or I already had a spotify account. I told it already had one and logged in with it,and it preceded to delete all my playlists, starred songs etc that I had had previously! I really want them back, can anyone help?

Hi Trh16 - Sounds like you've made a whole new account--nothing's been deleted here. 

Please sign out and sign back in with your 'tomharvey16' username. If you need to reset that password just click here.

Nope. I've been using the account by just logging in with Facebook for a while now. That 'tomharvey16' account has been dormant for years, but now my Facebooto account seems to have been linked to it and I can't get the stuff back that was on the Facebook account. Any ideas?

Hi ! Tonight, I had the good idea to "unlike Facebook" and, Surprise ! I lost ALL my playlists etc. I'm really really sad ! 😞 I had suscribed to the Unlimited Spotify, and now, when I log in, it makes as if a was a new user, while it's been YEARS that i've been using Spotify... What should I do ? (i'm french, sorry for the faults) I'll be thanking you for the rest of my life if you save me. A french lost girl.

Hey, I had made an original account with facebook (with email address evanthemcgrew@yahoo.com). And, I'm trying to delete my facebook, so I made this new account here, and was hoping I could get all of my playlists/tracks/radio stuff ported over to this one. I sent something to the contact link, and they just directed me to the community to get help.

As I have seen in the previous messages , I'm in the same situation than the others. I unlinked my facebook account from spotify and tried to reconnect with my new email adress... but no way , It consider me as a new user and it's impossible to get back all my music selection and playlists, so if you could help me , it would be very very very great!!

I can't believe why thez keep acting like that whereas there are so many people who lose their playlist and all these things... Why don't they stop these no-facebook-no-spotify ? I'm so disapointed, I love Spotify, but that really annoys me...

It's EvaD, I wrote this message after nearly dying (?) by losing My Spotify things, and then I found it : how did I do ? See here !!

 OMG !!!! Can't believe it ! I found how to find (sic) my account ! I just looked for a playlist that I'd created, and found my name, as it were before I logged with Facebook (few months ago). And so I disconnected from the new account (that one who was "empty") and logged in with my "old" name and... it worked !!! Alleluia !! i'm so happy, I can't believe it  !! 😄

Hi There!

I think I'm experiencing the same problem. I downloaded Spotify on to my phone, which worked fine for a while then it started asking me to log in and no matter which login I tried (facebook or spotify) it rejected. I reinstalled but still no joy.I filled in the help contact form last week but no reply. So I then decided to try unlinking facebook from my account. It worked, I can now log in to spotify on my computer and finally on my phone using my spotify credentials. Hooray!

Problem: ALL OF MY PLAYLISTS HAVE DISAPPEARED! There were two in particular that I really don't want to lose (one was about 10hours long and the other 13-ish), so if there's anyway to restore them (by merging the accounts) that'd be soooo good! I'd like to still to keep my facebook and spotify separate and log in using my spotify credentials. Also, looking at my account I think my NUS discount isn't applying to my subscription anymore either...? Any help would be much appreciated!!!

I am having yhe same issue with my Spotify. I created my account through Facebook and when I unlinked it it erased all of my music that I had saved. I want my playlists back and don't want to have to use the Free account that was set-up for me. I have already been charged for this month as well.

The TCW3082 is me and i was able to find and restore my original Spotify account. I am gald that I was able to resolve this issue on my own.
