Help with Username - Nothing is working

I noticed a little while back that my username changed to a number and letter combination. 

I looked at these forums are read to remove Facebook access, delete cache, reinstall app and even restart device. 

I've done all of that and even after a week the username hasn't switched back - Is there anything else to do?

The devices are a 2023 MBP along with an iPhone 15 running current iOS systems.

Thanks for reaching out.

Your username is designed to identify you on Spotify, so you can't change it and there's nothing you can do to change it 🙂

The good news is that you can change your display name or set one if you don't have one yet. You can find some info on how to do this here.

My issue is that it was never a set of number and letters before - I just want to be able to go back to what it was not this random set of digits I now have. If I've followed all the right steps and nothing has changed am do I accept defeat?

Hey @jufigures,

You can check what your actual username is at https://www.spotify.com/account/profile/. No matter what it shows there, it's always been the same username since you first signed up for Spotify. 🙂

Have you tried setting a display name yet? You can set it to the name it was before it started showing your username.
