Hijacked Account

Hi,

I sent an email to customer service and only recieved generic solution suggestions that couldn't possibly solve my problem. I can't login to my account and if I try the "forgot your password"-method it tells me that my e-mail is not associated with an account. The support told me my account name was now in the possession of an entirely different person, why is this kind of account transfer even possible? 

Can anyone help me? Thanks

(I had to make this account in order to post here or get access to the customer support form, this is not optimal in the account hijack case)

I don't know exacly what happened to you but this is the email I sent to spotify support, and the only answer I got was "check our twitter and community". Does it sound familiar to what happened to your account and does anyone know how to fix it?

The email:
A few days ago a playlist popped upp called "Hello sara" <- I 
thought this was my friend that played a trick on me and ignored it. 
Today the music started pausing and it said it was playing on a 
different device, which I have no clue what it was and I don't remember 
the name of it. I logged out from all devices and then I could only log 
in using facebook since my password was changed. I tried to reset my 
password but when I did the email was sent to a different email, so I 
tried to change the email but it said mine "sara.williams@hotmail.se" 
was already in use and I also needed the password, which I don't have, 
so change it. A few hours ago I was logged out and when I logged in 
again using facebook it created a new account instead. What do I do?

Well it sort of sound as though you were victim to a less experienced or
slower "hacker", but yes it seems like something similar
