My Question or Issue

Hey, currently I'm part of a family plan with friends.

I wish to separate my account to a private one, with a different payment method, but I don't want to cancel my account and re-create it so I won't lose all the playlists, saved songs, etc. Is there a way to do that?

Hi,

Are you the owner of the family plan? If not contact him or her!

Kaive

I'm not. What should I tell him to do?

The owner of the family plan would have to do this.

From the family help guide:

https://support.spotify.com/learn-more/guides/#!/article/spotify-family

Remove a member

Only the administrator of the plan is able to remove a member.

1. Go to your account page.

2. Click MANAGE YOUR SPOTIFY FAMILY.

3. Click REMOVE under the member you want to remove.

4. Click CONFIRM in the dialog box that follows. You can now invite someone else to the plan.

Note: If you remove a member, you’ll still pay the full amount for your plan each month. If you want to change the number of members, you will have to CANCEL the plan and sign up for the family plan again with the correct amount of members.

If you still have trouble,

I suggest you contact support here so they can help you

If you get an automated reply email telling you to check the help section or the community, you need to reply back to it, even if it's from a no-reply address.

Support usually replies within 24-48 hours.

You can also tweet to @SpotifyCares on Twitter for help.

But it won't delete my account permanently?

Will I still be able to use this account and add a different payment method?

Hey @TalShabi.

Thanks for getting back to us.

No worries, you won't lose any saved music or playlists when you lose your Premium. have the administrator remove you from the family plan. And then as soon as you notice that you are on the Free version, you'll be able to subscribe yourself on this page.

And that's it, really! Let us know if you have further questions.

Have a nice day.
