How can I recover music from an old Spotify accout

We used to have a free family premium plan from our service provider which expired. I bought a student plan for my son - can he recover the music he had downloaded on the previous account somehow

Hey @Dambrosioe,

When a Premium for Family subscription ends, all members of the plan will revert back to Spotify's Free service, but their saved music won't be deleted.

I'd recommend telling your son to just continue using the account that he has already used. There's no need to create a new account. 🙂

unfortunately i had already created the new account i gave it to him as a gift i didn't realize this was going to be an issue

You can let him know that he can always reach out to Support if he would like to transfer all his saved music from his 'old' account to the new one.

If you get an automated reply email telling you to check the Knowledgebase or the Spotify Community, you need to reply back to it, even if it's from a no-reply address. Spotify Support usually replies within 24-48 hours.
