My Question or Issue

Hello. I work for a city government and we put on events throughout the year. It's come to my attention that we are not supposed to be playing music from spotify at our events. Just trying to collect as many resources as I can to find the best avenue for being able to legally play music at our events.

I am aware of the "Soundtrack Your Brand" service but I'm not having much luck getting in touch with them to find out more info.  Due to the way the city's finance policy works, it's very complicated for us to have monthly recurring subscriptions (it was a months-long chore for us to get spotify - we have to use the gift cards because we are not allowed to be on monthly recurring payments)

So I'm trying to find out how we can just purchase rights to play the music on our playlists.  We typically play the same few playlists over and over.

What are my other options in this scenario? This is not necessarily a budget issue, more of a red-tape issue.  I need to be able to present all the available options before a decision can be made.  I'm a bit frustrated because there really isn't any kind of customer support at spotify and all my googling is leading to dead ends.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You.

Hey there @mrhahn!

Thanks for reaching out.

We totally understand your concerns. For now, the best option to play music at your events would be through Soundtrack Your Brand. In the meantime, I'd suggest you try to reach out to them once again or have a look at their website while you wait for a response. I think this article could be helpful!

Hope this helps! Let me know if you need anything else.

Our doctors have 3 dental clinics at the moment. They allow us to play music through Spotify. We are trying to create playlist that are appropriate and have explicit content option turned off. However, we would like to know if we could allow a parent account to only let the other family member accounts the playlist we have created. Not allow them to search or play other music outside of the created playlist, to avoid having inappropriate music slip by since they are not marked as "explicit."
