How do I sign up using my email that was attached to my former account?

I deleted my spotify premium account over 7 days ago. I want to sign back in using the same email. Spotify can't find my email when I click forgot password. If I try to sign up for a new account, spotify says the email is taken. How do I sign up using my email that was attached to my former account; it has been over 7 days.

Thanks for posting in the Spotify Community, and welcome!

After 7 days since you closed your Spotify account, it can’t be reactivated since the process to delete your data has already been initiated.

You can subsequently use the same email address to create a new Spotify account, but only after 14 days from the date you closed your account. So if it’s been over 7 days since then, but not yet 14 days, you’ll need to wait the remainder of time and then you’ll be able to sign up for a new Spotify account using your same email address.
