How do you create a artist profile?

Hello,

I have signed into Spotify through Facebook and now I officially have a personal acount. I am looking to create an artist account so I can upload my music. How does one go about doing that? The only thing I have found is how to verify an artist account. But how to you first create an artist account?

I have read that forum already but it's doesn't specially answer my question. 

Are you saying that, in order to create an artist account, you need to go through a music aggregator and have your music published?
