I have had Spotify Student for several months and suddenly just got charged the full amount. WHY??

Why did I suddenly go from student to regular premium? I am still a student. No notification was given. I want to cancel if I am going to be charged $9.99.

Hey there @mgottlie, welcome to the community!

Every 12-months your eligibility for the student discount has to be re-verified. No need to worry though, if you are still a student you can still get the discount! Just head over to the student page and get re-verify you're eligibility. If you get an error saying you are ineligible, you will need to cancel your current Spotify subscription and wait for your account to revert back to 'Spotify Free' - it's a little bug in the system. Once you're account has reverted back to 'Spotify Free' you should be able to apply the student discount successfully to your account. I apologize for the inconvenience!
