I have the wrong facebook account linked to my spotify account

Hi,

I have no idea how but when I log into Spotify I now have my friend's Facebook account connected to it instead of mine.

I need to have it disconnected - I have followed numerous instructions (i.e. disconnected from Facebook under 'preferences') but it still continues to show her name on the top right hand corner when I log in and is connected to her account.

Can someone please help me disconnect her account from my Spotify?

Hi!

I'm having a problem logging into my acccount. Facebook is logging me into my old free account as opposed to my current paid premium account.

Can I please have the correct username and password to resolve?

@12102300359 - I would suggest that you get in touch with Spotify support directly as they will be the quickest people to get to the bottom of this for you. There are several ways to get in touch!

If you have Twitter, following and dropping a Tweet to @SpotifyCares (English), @SpotifyAyuda (Spanish) or @SpotifyAjuda (Portuguese) is often the fastest way to get a reply and they can deal with the majority of issues excluding payment/billing issues.

Alternatively, you can email them (in any language) using the online contact form. There is also a special contact form if you can't remember your login details or the email address on your account is incorrect. The contact form support team should be able to handle absolutely any issue you are having!

When getting in touch via the contact forms, if you get an automated email reply back directing you to the community or help pages, you need to reply directly to that email (even if its from no-reply) and one of the support agents will get back to you as soon as possible.

Please disconnect my facebook account as well! I clicked the "manually enable Facebook" link while logged into the wrong FB account. In my spotify app it isn't showing that I can disconnect, and when I try to login that way to connect nothing happens - the login process fails.

@tpasch1 - Is your Spotify username also "tpasch1"? If so that account is not currently connected to Facebook.

If you are still seeing Facebook data in your apps, try re-installing:

I have almost the same problem. I have a account that I created with my facebook account. last weekend I was logged into a friends ipad. And she had a spotify account without facebook. Now is my facebook linked to here profile and all my playlists are gone and I have al here playslist now. Can you plaese fix this

I have recently changed my facebook name and wish it would also change on Spotify, I disconnected and reconnected again but it still shows my old full name. Is it possible to change it?

@solsticed - How long ago did you make the change? It can take up to 48 hours for your Spotify profile to update.

@toyse - In the desktop Spotify, go to Edit/Spotify > Preferences > Social Network > Disconnect from Facebook to break the link.

Hey Peter,

I was mistaken in saying that it was a solution to the problem, my friends facebook has remained logged in as the 'user'. 

It no longer gives an option to 'disconnect facebook', and now asks me to 'connect to facebook', i have attempted to do this in hope that by logging into my account it would over ride my friends, although this isn't the case and quite literally nothing happens.

This is not the solution! it just doesnt work, dont you people see? Spotify have to listen to masses of people with this same problem and get it FIXED ALREADY!!!

Once you have broken the link and waited 48 hours for the data to clear, if you are still seeing Facebook data in your client try re-installing:

My dad uses my spotify account sometimes and ended up linking it to his facebook. I broke the facebook connection a while ago and still see his name after every song I add and have ever added, I still see his facebook avatar and his name in the top right hand corner of the desktop program.

I've just reinstalled spotify on my pc and I still see his picture and name on spotify desktop program.

My account details on the spotify website show my user as 'afterglow64' which is what it should be but still display my dad's avatar.

I don't have facebook so linking it to my own isn't an option, I just want the avatar to be cleared and any songs I add to appear as my user 'afterglow64.'

Any ideas?

I'm having the same problem..my spotify is linked to a friends facebook, and I've tried to disconnect from it multiple times, but her name and picture are still showing up and I am not able to disconnect from it..help?
