I'm the holder of a Duo subs and I am getting adds and cannot skip

Hi, I’m on the Duo subscription. I’m the primary account holder, the other person is not getting ads and can skip but I am getting adds and cannot skip.

If you subscribed to Premium, and the user who you share the plan with has no issues with their new account features, then most likely you log in to a free account. If you are using a mobile, we suggest you check the details of the account you logged in by following these steps:

1. Tap the picture profile at the top-right of the screen.
2. Go to Settings and privacy. 
3. At the top, tap Account. There you can find your username and the email linked to your account (if any).

If you aren’t certain about the details you used to register on the app, go to password reset and enter possible email addresses you own. When you enter an email that's registered with Spotify, you'll get a password reset message for that email.

Note: Keep in mind there are a few ways to sign up, e.g. with email, phone number, Facebook, Apple, or Google. Try logging in with these, your Premium account may be linked to one of these options as well.

Keep in mind that as part of the Premium subscription, all music can be enjoyed ad-free. And while Spotify doesn’t play ads that interrupt the music listening experience of Premium subscribers, some podcasts may include advertising, host-read endorsements, or sponsorship independently of the streaming platforms featuring such podcasts. If you're hearing the aforementioned ads while listening to shows, take into account that is expected.
