I want to change my username!

My Question or Issue

Hi, I want to change my username to be just my name! instead of this weird letters and numbers! I've tried the solutions mentioned in older same topics and they just doesn't work!

The jumbled letters and numbers are your generated username when you sign up not through facebook. From what I understand, you can't change the "username" on your account settings, but you CAN change your display name which is what shows on your Spotify profile, playlist creation, and what followers see. 

Sometimes it bugs out and will show that long string of numbers and letters on your profile and playlists. I've found that restarting the Spotify application fixes that issue.

As @IIKosmosII said, you can't change this username under your account settings. Spotify uses that as an identifier to your account and it's not displayed on your profile and no one can view that, it's only visible to Spotify.

You can change only your display name under your profile settings using Spotify on web/desktop or mobile app.
