I was charged four times trying to get a student discount

I was charged 4 times 5 dollars with spotify trying to get a student discount. I discovered it when a looked in my bank account. I had to pay full and didn't get the discount.

Hey @shen3ga,

 

Did you get an email receipt for your subscription purchase?
 

In it, it shows the Spotify username you paid for:

 

Username/ID:        xxxxxxx

Logout of the app, and be sure to use it, instead of your email address, to login to your account. It's the one with the Premium features.

 

If you didn't get any email receipt, sometimes the amount gets 'on hold' even if the charge doesn't go through. Normally the amount gets back to your bank account a day or two later.

The only receipt I received was for the $9.99 premium account. The $5 wasn't on my email, just sheerid

Try using this site to validate:

 

https://spotify.sheerid.com/

 

If it succeeds, when you log back in your Spotify account, and look under the subscription tab the price will change to $4.99 for your upcoming renewal date.

Fill out the contact form, and someone from Spotify will be happy to help you within 24 hrs. Don't forget to check your spam folder for responses as they may end up there.

 

If you get an automated email directing you to the community or help pages, you need to reply directly to support@spotify.com and one of the customer services agents will get back to you.
