Hey guys, I'm using the family Spotify and setting an account up for my mum. I've set the account up however, the account is locked to US, everytime I change it to UK it says 'We're sorry, that email is taken'
How do I fix this?

Thanks for reaching out to us, and welcome to the community 🙂
The error you're describing seems more like trying to set up a new account with an email address that's already used.
To update the account's country try following the steps here. Just make sure you're logging in with your mom's account to make the change.
If you're still getting the same error message, try clearing your browser's cache and cookies or using an incognito window to update the country.

I am having a similar issue - my country is set to the UK, but I am based in the Rep of Ireland. When I go to change the country there is nothing in the dropdown but the UK?
Any help would be appriciated.

i think i found a solution.
you need to change to email address to an unknown one to spotify, so change the email address and the country and put in the postcode. then you can go back to account - edit and put in the original email address.

I tried it out as you advised but unfortunately no luck - UK was still the only available option in the dropdown.

Just to confirm, are you in Ireland right now? Also, are you connecting to the internet through a VPN or proxy?
If your IP address doesn't match, the country won't show on the drop down list for you to update it.
You can also try using a different device to log in and update your country.
