Language broken

In german the language is broken. There are funny symbols in the middle of words, i.e. Künstler*innen. Thats in no way official german language. How can i get rid of that, or  change my language to english?

I can only change the app language if i change the language of my mobile os ? That`s a bug and should be fixed.

Currently, this is the only way to change the app's language in your phone. 

However, it looks like other people feel the same way as you do. In this case, it's well worth giving it a vote to show your support here.
