I've the premium subscription on a promotion (3 months for 9,99) and I will upgrade to the regular premium afterwards. I listen to Podcasts on Spotify, so I don't really need the premium for that, but I also connected my Spotify to my Echo Dot.
The thing is: whenever my wife decides to play something on the Echo Dot, my podcast (playing it on a windows computer or my Android device) will stop playing.
Do I need a separate subscription just for the Echo Dot?
Asking it because I also have Apple Music enabled on my PC and on the Echo Dot and it allows me to play different content simultaneously.

Hey @roteixeira, thanks for reaching out to the Community!
Spotify can be installed as many devices as you'd like. However, you can only stream music on one device at a time. If you begin playback on another device, the playback on your current device will be paused.
In your case, that would be expected behavior, and there isn't a way to bypass that.
There is some more information on the Premium features here.
I hope this clears things up!
Hey @roteixeira,
Yes, you can create a separate account for your Echo Dot if you would like to stream on both devices at the same time, as an alternative.
Hope this helps!

I figured as much! In this case would I have to have a separate account for the Echo Dot?
