Login does work offline but not online

Hi there,

i've been struggeling on logging in to my spotify account. To write this topic i created a new one, but i want to use my old (somehow not working one anymore) account further. Following happend. I guess it was a windows10 update related ocassion, but i'm not 100% sure about this. So i was logged in and was playing music via spotify desktop application. After putting my laptop to hibernation and reactivation from hibernation i was logged out and my login didn't work anymore (after some update installation process shown by the os). So i reset my password, but i canceled my email account which was used during registration to spotify. So password should not have been reset. But anyway, my credentials wasn't changed and i use password manager for my passwords. So login must work actually.

To prove this, the credentials work, when i log in to the spotify application when i am offline.

So please help me to make my account functioning again.

Hey @jackW4, thanks for writing.

In this case, our best suggestion would be to reinstall the app with the steps you'll find here. Since you mention that you have more than one Spotify account, it'd be awesome if you could take a look at the useful information on how to locate additional Spotify accounts you'll find on this page. This will make it easier for you to recognize both accounts separately and log in properly to each one.

Thank you for your answer, but reinstalling the app doesn't solve the problem. 

The fact is, the the login didn't work anymore after starting the laptop from hibernation. 

The login neither doesn't work in the browser nor work in the iphone app anymore. in the app the error code is 3.

Something has to happen with the login on your server. 

Further as i said, it is quite impossible that i forgot my password, as i am organizing my accounts and passwords very well.

So, could it be that something happened to my account on your server?

Thanks for getting back to us.

Error code 3 means that you likely logging in with your email address. Could you try to log in with a username and then your password?
