Login suddenly fail

Login suddenly fail

I have used Spotif premium for many years on this computer, login via Facebook

now suddenly I was logged out and when trying to log in with Facebook it says that firewall may block it. Checked that it is allowed both in windows firewall setting (also tried to turn it of completely) and in antivirus program.

What has happen?

It works on my other win 10 machine and on my android phone.

Is there any new update that has problem with my old win 7 32 bit?

/Mike

Hey there @Micke67,

Sorry to hear you're having an issue.

Can you please provide me with the error number your getting ?

Any screenshots of the error might help as well.

Thanks 🙂

Thanks for answering OneByBoo!
I think there have been an update that no longer

support WIN7 32bit?

When trying to login with facebook I got Error 8.

And when trying with email and password I get Error 3.

As said, tried to login with password on my other two Win 10 machines

and it works fine, so my password is ok.

And as said too, been using this machine with spotify for at least 5 years and it has never logged out before.

Attach the "Error 8" picture, in Swedish 🙂

But it says that

"A firewall may block Spotify. Change setting so Spotify can get thru. You can also try to change proxy settings"

Have turned off both firewall and anti virus, but no change.

Thanks!

Mike

Can also add that I can login and play with the browser (firefox)

with this machine. It is just the app that don't work.

Hey there @Micke67,

Thanks for posting about this here in the Community!

Keep in mind that your device and operating system should be supported, there's more info here

If you're still having troubles accessing your account from the desktop app, we'd recommend trying the steps in this Spotify Answer for a clean reinstallation of Spotify.

If that doesn't do the trick, we'd recommend checking the following:

  • Make sure that there are no pending software or driver updates available so that your device is rocking the latest version available.
  • Turn your WiFi off. Wait 30 seconds, then switch it back on. If that doesn’t work, try restarting your router.
  • Try using a different internet connection. If it works with another connection, we recommend contacting the service provider of the original network for more information.

Let us know how you get on! We'll be right here if you need more help.

Have a lovely day 🙂
