Hi - I've had just the same experience as loads of other users:

 

Playlists dissapeared when I de-linked my account from Facebook. Also reverted to the free account from Premium.

 

I raised a query on-line (Spotify Case # 00704841) but have heard nothing back.

 

Can't get rid of the Facebook. Can't remove the Spotfy app on Facebook. Tried logging in, out etc. Logged in with Spotify user name, Facebook user name - all to no avail.

 

Looks like I'm not the only one...

Hey! Welcome to the community 🙂 

 

You should just need to sign back in with your Spotify username and password and that should get you back to your original account with premium and playlists. Are you sure you are using the correct username? 

 

As for your case, how long ago did you get in touch? If you got an automated email reply directing you to the community when you got in touch, can you reply directly to that email (even if its from no-reply) just to make sure your case is in the system.

I've tried that many times, but without success. I get the same basic Free account and no playlists whether I log in with my e-mail address or Spotify user name.

 

I've been getting messages from Spotify saying that the payment details on my premium account have expired. When I log in, I'm only seeing a free account. i don't want to re-enter payment details, because I'll no doubt get charged twice.

 

How do I get rid of the duplicate Facebook account?

 

The query I raised was Case #: 00704841 - on the 18th May.  I guess it should have been looked at, right?

 

I'll reply to the e-mail anyway.

I have the same issue here that I just ran into a couple minutes ago. After logging off spotify to log-in with another email connected to Facebook. I tried logging back into my original account and all my playlists were gone. I've followed the de-link facebook account and tried to log in with my facebook again and my playlists are still gone, as well as all my followers. Pretty upset about this, and I heard how alot of people don't get a response back from technical support....

If you get in touch with the Spotify team using the online contact form and reply to the automated email you get then that will always guarentee you get a response from a real person. 

 

As for your issue, before you get in touch have you trying logging in using your Spotify username (not your email address) and your password you created when you registered?

Yeah I've filled out a contact form and they replied with a link to unsubscribe to spotify. Is that suppose to be a joke?? They have provided no type of help, or any type of information. Yeah.. since day 1 I've used facebook to login to spotify. I've tried just the user name but its invalid.. Any other ideas? And thanks for your reply Peter, I appreciate it

 

I just tried logging in with the email I used to register, but the same thing. It's as if my account is brand new...

@DuffCooper - looks like that case got stuck in our system but I've now rescued it. You should get a response soon.

 

@breyes218 - do you have a case #? We'll chase it up.

Hello Calvin! Thanks for the reply, but I have not yet recieved anything in my email inbox nor my spotify website inbox. 

 

Does it take some time before it shows?

I am not sure if it is delayed - I sent it to the email address listed on your forwarded email.  

 

The problem with your account was that it seemed to have split and created a duplicate.  I have removed the duplicate and you should now be able to login directly to your account with the playlists.

 

 

I'm afraid we might have created another problem... Now when I log back into spotify its telling me that its unable to connect to spotify and gives me the error code: 412

 

Not only that but my playlists are still missing. This is saddening and I hope I'm not stressing you guys out too much

@breyes, make sure you reply back to Calvin's email too, so all the information you send can be found by Calvin or whoever else picks up that case. Those guys'll get things fixed up for you in no time.

 

Edit: I've also removed your email addresses so no one can sign it up for weird stuff.

Thank you so much, I'm extremely happy to say that my playlists are all back with the details you provided me. Now I just need to figure out how to get my user name and password to get back to normal

 

Also would it be a bad idea to try and link my Spotify with my facebook again? I'm really afraid to do so... And do I have to use the numbers you gave me each time to log in now?

Yeah I've been replying to both the emails and here on this forum, thank you so much! And thanks for removing the email addresses too, probably a dumb idea of me to post them here lol. 

Hi,

 

You should be able to repair the link by going to the account part of www.spotify.com.  If this does not pair, then you would probably have to continue to use the device ID to login.  I can send you a reset link so that you can set your own password if this is the case.
