My Question or Issue

I'm migrating to a new phone, and I have many offline playlists on my old phone. I know I can't transfer the offline files, but can the Spotify app re-download the same offline playlists on my new device that were offline on my old device? Just wondering if I have to re-click potentially tens or a hundred offline playlists/artists/etc, or if I can just tell the app "hey unmark them for offline use on my old device and mark them for offline use here on the new device"?

Hey @MartinB3,

Thanks for the question!

What you're asking for is not yet a feature within the app but we do have an Idea about it on the Community. You can leave a vote to it if you feel like doing so and share it with your peers! For the time being, however, you'd have to freshly select any items you wish to download for offline use manually.

The best way you can do this (which will hopefully make things a bit easier for you) is to filter your library by downloads and then select 'Download to other device' from the menu. This can be done through long-pressing the playlist, so that you don't have to open every playlist on its own 🙂

Note: You can also add any playlists you wish to download to a folder via the desktop app and then re-download them on your new device by accessing the folder on it.

Hope you'll find this info helpful! We're here for you in case any questions come to mind.
