Most of songs are not available in Turkey

Solved!

Most of songs are not available in Turkey

I'm a premium user but most of songs I like to listen are not available in my country. Why such a discrimination? Any chance to add them soon?

If not, why should I even bother using Spotify.

Music licensing varies between countries, which is why you will find the catalogues vary depending on where you are in the world. Since Spotify is required to license content for each country it is available in, which means things aren't always as easy as getting content from somewhere and that being the end of it. Once the licensing deals are in place with labels, you will still find some content may not be available, that is unfortunately normally down to the label with holding the content from Spotify for whatever reason. The fact artists license their music with different labels depending on location in the world is also a huge pain!

Turkey is still a relatively new market for Spotify, so you will find things improve over time - especially once the music industry there gets on board the streaming bandwagon. Often the quickest way to get content on Spotify is to get in touch with the band/artist and ask them why it is missing!

What is your monthly charge?

In the UK here we pay 60% more than the Americans yet they make stuff not available to us. Of course I cannot know how many of these are available to the Americans comparatively, but it is a "rip-off" system.

Like they think I will run to iTunes to buy Ed Sheeran or that other recent number one if they make it not available on spotify?

I pay half of US and much less than UK cause of our TL is going down continuosly..

But anyway, that's Big Mac Index and it is irrevelant.  Because I'm also getting paid half of US and much less than you UK guys but our purchasing power is same in our countries so why implementing currency indexes?
