My username is just random letters and numbers

Hello everyone,

I created this account with Facebook log in option, after I deactivated my facebook account, my username appears as just random letters and numbers. I tried a link that actually asked to provide a username, I did, it said username created successfully, but it still hasn't changed. When I check that link I realize that my username has been registered. Anyone can help me please with this issue, I'd be so thankful.

According to the official staff answer when you deactivate your facebook account:

"Please note your displayed Spotify username will be a string of numbers instead of your display name. "

Unfortunately, there is no way around that.

Thanks for your answer. I am willing to delete that account because I want to make new one with an actual username, and I have one more question, will I be able to use the same email address of that account after it gets deleted to create another one?
