New Releases Not Updating

My Question or Issue

Hi everyone. My new releases are not updating. It hasn't been updated since Ariana Grande's 'sweetner' album came out. What should I do? It's not updating on the application on my phone, web player or desktop app. I have installed and uninstalled. I have done everything.

Hey @CatiiaSofiia

Do you mean the Release Radar playlist?

Have you been streaming recently, and do you regularly listen in a private session? Do you only stream from the RR playlist? Streams from the RR playlist may not count towards your recommendations.

Exactly same issue. Its the "New Releases" tab that shows the new albums & Singles that get released on Spotify and NOT the Release Radar playlist. Mine stopped updating a couple of months ago with the last album being Ariana Grande's Sweetener. It gets even weirder because new albums get adverts on the banner but they do not appear on the list...

The problem is common on all platforms that i've tried (W10, Android) and it seems independent of account type (free/premium).

A friend of mine also has the same problem with the same last album.

Tried everything, even routing internet traffic through a VPN but to no avail. Seems to be a internal Spotify problem...

That's exactly my issue. I was able to get in touch with SpotifyCares through Facebook and they are working on figuring out what's wrong. But yes, @Titvs, my issue is the same! 😞

I frequently update my playlists and I'm not on a private session.

I also realized the feature of continuous playback (spotify continued to play music of the same style of the playlist) disappeared from the settings menu... Running W10 client, version 1.0.91.183.g259b84fa

Anyway, if you get feedback from Spotify can you please post it here? 🙂

I don't think they even know what's happening. We've been going back and forth and they are now analysing the problem on their side!

If I get a final answer/solution, I'll post it. No problem 🙂

I have exactly the same issue, do you have any update on this? Should I contact Spotify myself?

I get notifications about new albums but they don't show up in the "New Releases" tab and I have the same situation where the last one was Ariana Grande's.
