Not able to upgrade to family

Hi All,

 

When I try to upgrade my premium subscription to a family subscription, I am getting this error

 

  • Oops, seems your card or payment provider is having a bad day. Don't worry, no money has been charged. Try again or use another payment method.

My card info is already stored so this should be ok.. 

 

How can I fix this??? I could read that someone had to cancel the subscription first before doing a family?? 

 

Hope someone has the golden card here ๐Ÿ™‚

Hey there - I have had the same problems and Cust Svc sent me a list of FAQs which did not solve the issue, also having tried different browsers, etc. I just re-added my billing credit card which seems to be visible now with a VISA logo next to it. Perhaps try adding your credit card number (I know, sounds crazy...) and maybe that will help. I got past the error and am sending invites to my kids ๐Ÿ™‚ Good luck - Gareth ATX

Have you tried upgrading to family via incognito mode? Cleaning out your browers cache should also help.

I have tried both, that dont help me. Still getting that error.

Having same problem in GB. Subscribed directly with Spotoify soon after launch. card is in date. want to buy and Spotify won't let me. I shouldn't need to clear things out of cache and am always warynowadays  as Spotify sometimes 'breaks' and won't allow log in.

Other ideas on how to fix this issue??

Really sorry to hear that your are having some issues with adding your payment information to your account. Please insure that your Spotify account / Payment method (card) are in registered in the same country. If they are and it still isn't working, let me know and I'll escalate your case.

For some strange reason I was not able to use the card there where stored in my account, but If just chosed to put in the same card again, then it works.

Still not working this morning so send question to CS via form.  I tried a different browser and different PC without success. Card and service registered in GB, card works for monthly payment and is shown as stored. Will await CS esponse then try adding card again, but didn't want to mess up the bill and get charged once for normal service and again for Family - I love Spotify but I don't have a lot of confidence in their admin service.

@Edllew, Sometimes their services get into some deep water and it takes a human to sort it out. Have you replied to their "no-reply" e-mail? If you reply to it, you will get a faster response. ๐Ÿ™‚
