I am trying to set up spotify on sonos i request the email so i can set my password but it doesnt come. I have checked junk folders and added the spotify email to safe sender list etc..
When i signed up for the 30 day trial of Premium, i got the email receipt for that, but not the password email

I ordered a subscription as a gift on the 28th and neither I nor the recipient has had an emailed activation code although the payment went through Paypal and cleared that day.

Since this is a account/billing query, you will need to get in touch with the customer services team directly using the online contact form and they will be able to assist you further with this. Don't worry they will be able to retrieve your gift after verifying a few payment details.
If you get an automated email reply back directing you to the community or help pages, you need to reply directly to that email (even if its from no-reply) and one of the customer services agents will get back to you as soon as possible.

My girlfriend tried resetting password a year ago, and no mails got through and she needed to contact user support which in the end lost her two weeks of use and took lots of time and effort. Time she does not have. Now the same thing happens again, no email comes even though multiple attempts are made with both user name and e-mail. And no, the account is not connected/created through Facebook. And no, the emails do not end up in the spam/junk folder. How can you not have the reset password function working smoother by now? To need manual handling in simple standard functions like this is embarassingly bad.
Anyway, enough frustrated complaining. Could you help her get her account (that she is paying for) working again?

She needs to get in touch with the account team by using the online contact form and someone at Spotify can help get this sorted. If she gets an automated response directing her back to the community or to the help pages, she should reply to it directly to speed things along.

Thanks, but we've done that. It's a never ending loop: the contact form and support FAQ directs us here, here you direct us to the contact form or FAQ. The auto-reply on the mails direct us to both places. No-one solves the actual issue.
How can this process not be automated or flowing better at a company with such a large user base, where accessibility of the service is key for the perception of delivered quality? Or simpler - why should I want to continue paying for a solution which cannot even provide me with a new password if needed? If support personell are too expensive, please outsource or automate. Spotify, take note of IT basics.
@westiebestie - Did you reply to the automated email reply that @Joe mentioned above? That will bump your case over to a real advisor.

same here! This is ridicolous, the email should be automatic but I tried twice and don't get anything. Plus getting to the form is already a nightmare as you always are redirected to the FAQ page! Does Spotify have a customer service or is it all a fake?
I'm seriously considering canceling my subscription.
