One Spotify account on two devices

We have one Spotify account and have first used it on a laptop but switched to an Ipad recently. We are able to log in alright and have all our playlists, but on the Ipad we are stuck with the 'free' version with the ads. Even though we pay for the Unlimited license. With the same license we never had ads on the laptop. Must I first deintstall it on the laptop and will it then automatically get rid of the ads?

@stanhaas - Spotify Unlimited only removes advertising on the desktop and web player, for an ad-free experience on tablets or mobile devices, you need Spotify Premium I'm afraid.
