Solved!

Please stop with these emails with login codes

Each time i log-in in the browser, after i enter my username and password, i receive an email with a code number, that i need to enter in spotify to prove that it is me.

How annoying is that? How can that be necessary every time?

Hello 🙂

This is a security measurement that Spotify have to make sure that the person who is trying to log into the account is indeed the account owner, this makes your account even more secure and avoid unknown access.

You have a possible workaround into the email verification code, you can chose to enter your password instead of the code sent to your email:

Hey there @ivoliveira, thanks for reaching out to the Community!

Spotify may ask you for a login code that is sent to the information you have on your account to ensure that the account is owned by you and it’s another measure that Spotify is using to keep your account safe. You can always check out this guide which has more information on protecting your account.

There isn’t a way to turn this off manually, however, I will make sure to pass your feedback on to the right folks.

Keep in mind that it’s best to regularly check your account information here and make sure that your personal information is up to date. This will prevent security emails from being lost or codes being sent to an invalid or inaccurate email address.

Hope this helps!

Login with password will still send the email!

Spotify Geneious Geneious cannot understand that this link appears AFTER login and email is already sent!

I wish spotify would see this message to know how stupid, pointless and time consuming it is to have to go through security checks on your tv in your own living room to listen to music. This protects no one.
