Premium Trial

I've just created a new Spotify account on my iPhone and I was told by my friend that I can get a free premium trial. They said I had to try the 'offline listening' button in order for the option to show but that's not working for me. Why am I not getting the offer and what can I do to get it?

Have you ever had Premium before even if it's a different account? If you haven't and the app isn't offering you the upgrade, you can go to any song or playlist and tap on the "..." button, then tap Add to Queue. The 7-day Premium trial should pop up and you can sign up for it.
