Premium account via gift card - can I still upgrade to Family plan?

I'm already on a Premium subscription until january 2017. But it has been paid for through a gift card! What happens if I upgrade to Family plan and become a Spotify Family admin user? Will my remaining time still be divide between me and my family member? Or is it not possible to upgrade when your remianing period of Premium is paid via gift card? Hope someone can help 🙂

If you upgrade to a Family account your premium will still be divided between the different family accounts 🙂

I pay for my Spotify Premium with Gift Cards.

Now I want to upgrade to a Family account.

It seems not te be possible to pay for this with gift cards.

Does anyone have an answer or solution for this problem??
