Premium gift card not working

I received a Spotify premium gift card and it is not accepting the pin on the back of the card and there is not one on the receipt. I have an individual premium account, so I don’t understand why it’s not working. The card was bought at Walmart, and the receipt shows that it has been activated, but there is no pin on the receipt. Please help me with this. It is very frustrating see a message attached that it won’t work with my account type. Thank you, any help is appreciated.

The error message that came up is “you can’t apply that premium code to your account. This is likely because you have an existing premium subscription that cannot be combined but the premium code” which I have an individual premium account. Thank you for your response:)

Has the Gift Card been purchased in the same country that is set in your account? You can check your account's country setting here. 

Please also keep in mind that, after a few failed redemption attempts, you'll need to wait at least 24 hours until you can try again.

If the issue persists after 24 hours, it's best to cancel the current subscription and wait for it to end. Once it has ended, you should definitely be able to redeem the Gift Card.

Yes, the gift card was purchased in the same country as the card. That’s a good idea to cancel my subscription and try it that way. Darn it just Renewed for the month on 1/19

No worries 🙂

In that case you can just cancel and once your subscription has ended, you can try to redeem the Gift Card. Gift Cards are valid for at least one year, so it won't expire until then.
