Problem opening message function

I can not open my message function in the Spotify software (for PC, latest update, Premium) the `thinking' cirkel just spins around.

It's been like this for a while now.

Apreciate your help, awaiting a important chat thru that function so I would be more than glad if you could help me sort this problem out.
