My Question or Issue

 

Recently played in Spotify does not update. I have done everything I can think of to solve the issue on my end, such as reinstalling the application, logging in and out, and quitting Spotify. The Recently Played section still works incorrectly, where it sometimes updates in reverse order, and sometimes does not update at all. This has been occurring for at least five months. It's a bit troublesome to use Spotify when it doesn't come with the features I've paid for.

Spotify is currently aware of an issue causing the behavior you describe. I suggest going to this Ongoing Issue and adding your vote to it by clicking on the +VOTE button. It will also be useful to subscribe by clicking on the three-dot menu in the top right corner next to the title; that way you can make sure to stay up to date with any relevant updates about this issue.
