Recognizing Premium

Hi,  I don't personally have spotify but I bought my 92 year old Dad a Google Home for Christmas. He wanted to upgrade to premium on spotify and since he is sight impaired, lives an hour away and doesn't use credit cards I went into his account on my computer to upgrade him. It is showing now that he is a premium member on his account. He uses an IPad and Google Home which doesn't recognize he is premium at this point. Could someone tell me what I have to try to walk him thru to get it to work when I have done the rest from a different location. Thanks Shirley
