My Question or Issue

I have an email created account and later linked my facebook to it; I sign in using said email address and not FB. I have deactivated the linking via Privacy Settings in the My Account section to prevent further processing.

I did the above because I have linked the Discord app to Spotify and I don't wish people knowing my full name. However, my account hasn't reverted back to the username I created when I first signed up, it's still showing my full name.

Is there a way to remove my full name being shown when people view my profile and have my username shown instead?

Hey @PhantyPants, help's here.

It may take a day or two for the change to take effect, but just to be sure, did you follow these steps to disconnect your Facebook profile:

  1. Open the Spotify desktop app.
  2. Click in the top-right corner of the app.
  3. Click Settings.
  4. Under Social, click DISCONNECT FROM FACEBOOK?

Then wait a couple of days and let us know if it helped.

Keep us posted 🙂

Champion! I didn't even think of the desktop app. It worked straight away.
