Samsung TV does not show in Devices Available

Samsung TV does not show in Devices Available

Hello! I want to connect my Premium account on the Spotify app in my Samsung TV (Series 6) with my phono, but my phone does not show the TV as an available device. I can see and connecto to my Bose wireless, PS4 and Chromecast on the other room, but the TV is not showing. why is that? (all of them are connected to the same WiFi)

I'm currently using a Oneplus 5

Hey @Kirrinuchis.

 

We’re changing the availability of the custom app integration on some speakers and sound systems. If you’re unsure whether your device is affected, check with your device’s manufacturer.

 

If your TV supports Spotify Connect, it should work however. You can find out on the Spotify Gear website or in your TV's documentation if your TV supports Spotify Connect.

 

If it does, we recommend you update the firmware of your TV and to reinstall the app on your mobile device. Also make sure that all devices are connected to the same WiFi network. If you are using a 5Ghz network, try switching to a 2.4Ghz network as it has better range and reaches better through walls.
