Setting my device password - no email received

Setting my device password - no email received

My spotify account is associated with my facebook account, and I'm trying to set a device password.

I realise this is a different password to my facebook account password; the reason I want to do this is that I have a device that needs to authenticate using the device username/password and doesn't authenticate with facebook.

 

I'm trying to use the 'set device password' form here:

https://www.spotify.com/nz/account/set-device-password/

 

But when I click the "Send e-mail to set password" button, I receive no email. I've tried it several times over the past few weeks but I've never received an email. I've checked my spam folder, but there is nothing in there.

 

I've tried contacting support, but unfortunately, they have been unhelpful. They don't seem to even read the message I send them and just send me canned answers to common questions. So I'm hoping that someone on the forums knows how to deal with this, or that someone from support that can actually understand and help me will read this.

 

Has anyone had this issue with the set device password form and been able to work around it?

It is worth double checking the email address on your profile is correct:
https://www.spotify.com/account/profile/

I've often found the twitter support are much better, so if you have Twitter tweet @SpotifyCares and they will lend a hand.
