Songs won't download for offline use

Songs won't download for offline use

I have tried everything to fix this and I'm getting very frustrated paying monthly just for the main feature not to work.

I have three playlists.  One downloaded every song for offline use but the other two refuse.

I have Available Offline turned on for both my lap top and my phone.

I have cleared memory space on my phone so there's enough empty space.

Still, they won't download.  They have the download downward arrow next to them but it's greyed out.

Why?  I'm paying for this service.

Hello and welcome to the Spotify Community!

Check that you didin't exceded the limit: 3333 songs.

If you don't, you should contact with Spotify Consumer Support filling this contact form, or tweeting to @SpotifyCares (ENG), @SpotifyAyuda (ESP) or @SpotifyAjuda (PT).

If you receive an automated email that leads you back to the community or help pages, reply to it (even if it's from "no-reply") and one of the Spotify team members will get back to you as soon as possible.

Don't forget to check your Spam Box 😉

Spotify reserves more space for downloading Songs than actually downloading. Make sure to have a little bit more space on your phone. Also, you have a limitation of 3333 Songs downloaded. Restart your Phone after clearing some space might work as well

A limit? Wow spotify. Left that out of the marketing materials huh? Please reconsider this as there are plenty of us who want to ditch iTunes/Apple music completely. But a limit is ridiculous and arbitrary. I own about 90% of my 5,000 song library from previous purchases and it would be much easier to just use spotify. I was so excited to try and transition completely to spotify, but now I might have to go running back to ITunes/Apple music.

Well this explains why I keep running into this problem. I'd consider myself a power user trying to ditch iTunes and all of my ripped copies of music I owned on CDs. If I have the space on my phone I should be able to download as much as I want. This will make me reconsider staying with Spotify if something with less limitations comes along.

I have had this for 3 years or more and never knew there was a limit. Why would want to stay when it will not download on my iPhone but will on my iPad. I have 40gb on my phone so it's not a space issue. Doesn't download and now I find out there is limits I thinking I will go elsewhere.

Hello everyone,
Got help from Spotify guys and worked.
You need to remove all your devices, erase library cache and delete all of them.
Then reinstall them and works. remember to delete the cache.
The mail tech guys sent is below.
Hope that works for you too.

Thanks for reaching out. We'd love to help you with your Offline Mode issue.

Looking at your account from our end, we can see that something occurred with the offline files on your devices. It seems the cache has become corrupted and was disconnected from the app.

Don't worry, if you follow this link you can reset your offline devices. Then you'll need to perform a quick reinstall of Spotify with these steps. This will clear any unnecessary connections between your phone and your Spotify account.

where is the LINK please  🙂
