Spotify Connect is linking to an unknown device

When I try to listen to spotify at work through my Bluetooth headset I'll be consistently interrupted and a Spotify Connect notification will appear and say that I am listening through a device that I have never owned or logged into. Is this a case of someone stealing my account or is Spotify Connect allowing a other user to link to what I'm playing by being near to me?

Just to be on the safe side of things, we'd recommend you update your Spotify account's password using this link. This will log your account out from all devices currently logged into it.
