Spotify Family Account - age limit?

Am trying to add my son (currently 12) to my spotify family account but I'm not able to...is there a restriction on the age?

I think it is not fair that there was no mention about age limit, when ordering the service for Family-users.

Also, the Family product is not mentioned in your terms (at least not very clearly). Also, "living in same address", sounds the service might be useable only from same ip/base station/etc. This should be explained more clearly.

One more, after i paid family, it wasn't told the others have to open a new account (there was just a link to be sent, but no explanation that the account should exist already, it was very confusing, eg. you can think the email where link is sent is new username)

My family like it so much but it's also not good for a small children to download it only for a teen until teenager student many people like it so much even me I like it so much since all of my friends are hearing music i was like how can they hear music so I ask one of my friend to tell me what app the

This age limit is way too high.

It's only music, for crying out loud!

We have spotify family membership, but the kids can't have it. They are 9 and 11, they just wanna hear music, there shouldn't be an age limit!!!!!

Agree completely!! How ridiculous, its only music and since we are all in the same household and I am parent, shouldn't I be responsible anyway, no matter what age??

Totally agree - just switched to Spotify Family from Apple Music and regretting doing so as our younger kids cannot officially access the service without falsifying their ages. Think we may give Amazon Music Unlimited a try (after I read the t&cs!).

Also agree with comments on setup procedure - the invitation process seems to assume everyone already has a Spotify account. Also choosing up a username seems a waste of time as the system assigns a huge random string of characters instead.

Can the student discount be approved for high school students? Why just university students? other software subscriptions apply for this group, why not Spotify ? Would appreciate that!
