Spotify Family - no way to use multiple streams with single account?

Spotify Family - no way to use multiple streams with single account?

Good Morning,

We are long time Spotify Premium users - my wife and I (+ very young kids) all use a single premium account.  Both my wife and I are suddenly more often cutting each other off.

We don't have a need for seperate music (or accounts) and in fact, because we use SONOS for 75% of our listening it is perferable to keep all out playlists in a single account.

From what I've read Spotify Family won't solve this issue for us, correct?

Appreciate your time,

Phillip

Hey @pglaeser

Unfortunately it is not possible to use multiple streams on one Spotify account. Spotify accounts are designed so that each account is meant for one person only with one device playing at a time.

The way Spotify Family works is that each person creates their own Spotify account first if they do not already have one. For everyone to create a Spotify account they will need their own email address.

Once everyone has their own Spotify account you then invite them to join your family plan and then they sign in with that account in the app. Make sure everyone enters the same home address when it asks for verification. Then everyone will be able to listen without interrupting the other users.
