Spotify Family

I went to Spotify Free and after one month went back on Spotify Premiun.  I have just noticed that I have been charged for some time for Spotify Family which I did not sign up to and have had no notifications that any changes were to be made.  I have had to switch back to Premium.  Why did this change take place.
