Hey Troops,
I'm having a couple issues with my account. Firstly, I created it with my Facebook, which is all well and good, and I know that is irreversible, but the Facebook account I used is set up with a different email than is displayed on my Spotify account page, which is an old old email that is no longer associated with that Facebook account. I have confirmed it is linked to the correct account, and that the old email is nowhere to be found on my Facebook profile, and even that in Facebook App settings, Spotify has access to my new and current email, but it is still displaying the old, incorrect email address on my Spotify account page, and telling me I need to make edits on Facebook. I've been trying to sort this out for an hour now, and I am at my wit's end.
Also, my spotify account at https://www.spotify.com/ca-en/account/overview/ is showing a random string of numbers and letters as my profile name, and I have no idea how to change that. I have tried logging in and out on all my devices and deleting the Spotify cache, but it is still just that random string.
Anyone have any solutions, or have experienced something similar?

Thanks for the tip, but unfortunately, due to having created my account through Facebook, upon selecting edit account information, it notifies me that to change my email, I need to do that through my facebook account page, which currently displays my new email address, so I am a bit lost.

I have just done some searching arround, it could take a couple of days to update, if not then I can get a moderator to look into the issue, however, have you tried clearing your browser cache?

My Facebook email was changed to what it is now prior to my joining Spotify, which is part of why I am so confused. I'm also mildy concerned because I no longer have access to that email, so any notifications regarding my account will not be received. I have also attempted clearing my browser cache and accessing Spotify from multiple devices and networks with no change in result.
I am not sure the process to involve a moderator, but it would be hugely helpful if you could assist me with that?

As you do not have access to the email, I recommend contacting Support, you can do this via Twitter (@SpotifyCares) or on the online contact form.
They can look into your account and get this solved for you. 🙂
