Hi,
I have created a new playlist on Spotify and shared it on Facebbok.
Problem: Only 1/3 of all tracks appear
2nd Problem: If I change/delete any tracks on Spotify in the playlist it still shows the same tracks as before on FB (24 hours ago, still nothing happend on FB).
Is there any way to sync the Facebbok image of the playlist manually, or other way around tell Spotify to sync the Facebook image?
Thanx for any answers.
Best smartymart
Solved! Go to Solution.
Facebook has a tool called Debugger. You can enter a URL there and it will rescrape the content it finds and thus replace the previously cached version of the playlist with the new one. A bit of a roundabout way of fixing it. Perhaps this is something that Spotify can do on the backend?
Hey Smartymart, welcome to the Community.
For the first problem, does the playlist contain any local tracks at all? That is, songs stored on your computer only? These might not show up for others.
The link should always be 'live' in a sense, so it'll never get out of sync. Care to give us the link? (Just copy and paste the HTTP link here)
Hi Richard,
thanx for the warm welcome!
I figured the "local tracks" issue out by myself and actually searched for the respective versions on spotify.
Not all tracks had equivalents, still the playlist on Spotify contains 54 tracks and teh Facebook version only shows 21.
And more confusing: I deleted a track in Spotify from the playlist, reloaded the whole plalist on FB and the deleted song shows up...
This should be the respective http: http://www.facebook.com/music/playlist/Ibiza-Dusk/361447757264170
Thank you for your help!
Best mart
That playlist looks like all the tracks were added 13-14 hours ago.
Can you remove a few of the tracks now and we'll see if it updates. (Currently 50 tracks in the playlist)
OK, that's some comforting news!
I have removed the track " a new cage" from the band "sono".
Then only the figure shown in my facebook profile does not accord to the actual available number of tracks within the Spotify list.
Or does it say when opening the above posted link that there are 50 tracks available?
Anyway, thank you very much for your quick responses and support!
Have a nice week
Mart
I still wonder why he is showing the song: Bulldog Beats from the Band Moonbootica in my Facebook Profile, as I have removed the track yesterday. Can you see / hear the track?
The other song that I just deleted is also still visible in my FB profile...
It's down to 49 tracks now for me.
Only Moonbootica track I'm getting is Mustang 86.
When you say it's visible in your FB profile, whereabouts is this? On your Timeline?
I can't really see anything to do with this on your profile I'm afraid (maybe as I'm not your FB friend). Could you get us a screenshot of what you mean here?
I know that this is an old thread, but I think I see what the person was talking about, as I have just experienced the same issue.
The playlist, as you play it in Spotify is always up to date, as you say. The issue has something to do with the how Facebook displays links. In the screenshot below, the tracks "Walk" by Unnatural Helpers and "Yawangalong Ladies" by Musk are no longer in the playlist. They weren't in the playlist when I went to create a status update by pasting the link to the playlist in Facebook. However, they were in the playlist when my friend first posted a Facebook status update using the same link.
I can only assume that this is some sort of Facebook caching issue (i.e. if they see that they have already pulled the information for the exact same link, then they perhaps never refresh it) and as such in all likelyhood it is out of your control.

leftpeg - if you move all the tracks into a new test playlist and publish that - does it show up properly? Just for comparison.
I had the same problem when trying to post HTTP link to playlist in Facebook post and found this post searching for a solution.
I was able to solve by renaming the playlist in Spotify app, and then renaming it back to original name.
No more phantom tracks in Facebook shares!
I have some problems on facebook syncing my bands album. When I add the link on facebook, it only shows a link to spotify, not the seperate songs to stream. This is the link:
https://open.spotify.com/album/5FHAWt9OAhk6IBdgwFZF6z
or embed:
<iframe src="https://embed.spotify.com/?uri=spotify%3Aalbum%3A5FHAWt9OAhk6IBdgwFZF6z" width="300" height="380" frameborder="0" allowtransparency="true"></iframe>
It is oploaded last friday, so I guess time isn't the issue?
Hopefully somebody van help me
